Have you ever listed the top 5 things that annoy you in your job – I know for some of you five might not be enough (joke). Go ahead and write them down. Now tick each one you believe to be in your control. What does your list look like? Lots of ticks? Just a few? None at all? Now write out the following:
” I choose to give my time and energy to “blank” – blank being one of the items on the list that you ticked.
If you want to continue to give your energy to what you have written down over the next few days give it 10 minutes focused time and attention – make an appointment in your diary for it. write down your learning and observations.
To give yourself back choice over your focus and attention paving the way for learning and discovery.
If you choose to focus your time and attention on something within your control instead, again make time for it, say 10 minutes of focused attention, and write down what you gained from this.
